Two people died this weekend in Brasilian soccer events

Two people died and four more were injured in soccer violence this weekend in Brazilian state Rio Grande.

Valdair de Lima (39 years), was shot by police in the city of Eugenio de Castro, after he started a fight in an indoor soccer game, when a player was sent off. After fighting with police de Lima went to his car for a gun, and began firing at officers, injuring one of them. The police shot him back, wounding him. He died on his way to the city hospital.

Also on Saturday night, in the city of Ijui, a man ran onto the field of the Copa de Barrios final in the 75th minute and began shooting into the crowd. Luciano Kreibich da Silva, 30, died of gunshot injuries immediately.

Three other young people were hurt and a 14-year young girl was taken to a city hospital suffering serious injuries. The shooter, who was not identified, managed to escape.
